Suddenly, On December 10, 2006. Age 40. (nee Egan) Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 8 years to Michael. Devoted mother of Kathleen Hazelwood and Tito Diaz, Jr. both of Spring Hill, Florida. Dear Grandmother of Kathrine Hazelwood and Suvanna Hazelwood. Beloved daughter of Martin J. Egan, Jr. of Gloucester City and the late Kathleen Egan (nee Aubrey). Dear Step-daughter of Estella Egan (nee Thesing) of Gloucester City. Cherished Sister of Martin J. Egan, III (Frannie) of Wenonah, Denise Aldridge (Billy) of Gloucester City, Johnnie Egan (Jennie) of Gloucester City, Patti Egan (Arthur) of Deptford, Susie Egan (Joe) of Gloucester City and the late Billy Egan. Loving Step-Sister of Barbara Walker (Harry) of Blackwood, Marie Tobias (George) of Gloucester City, Georgeanna Thesing of South Carolina. Also, survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Rita was a graduate of Gloucester City High School in 1985 and was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City. She excelled in Softball and Field Hockey while at Gloucester City High School and was an aide at the High School in her Senior year. Rita worked as a certified nurses aide at the Greenbriar Nursing Facility in Hammonton for 3 years. She worked as a field crew secretary for one year at New Jersey Construction in Gibbsboro. Rita was a committee secretary for the Bellmawr Boy Scout Troop # 185 for 7 years. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her visitation on Friday from 10 am to 11 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Catholic Memorial Service 11 am in the funeral home. Inurnment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. There will be no evening visitation. Family requests that memorial donations be made in Rita’s memory to Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: Tuition Fund 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
