Suspect for Homicide in the 22nd District 

The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is looking to identify the individual, depicted in the following surveillance video excerpts, as part of an ongoing investigation into the double murder of two individuals, that occurred on Friday, May  8th, 2026, at about 2:21 AM, in the 2500 block of W. Berks Street.

The male suspect is described as a Black male that appears to be in his mid-twenties to early thirties, approximately 5’9″ to 5’11” tall, medium built.

Shooting Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred this evening in the 39th District, leaving a teenager injured.

At approximately 7:12 PM, officers responded to the 2400 block of West Cambria Street following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, a 16-year-old male victim was located. He was quickly transported by a medic to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. His current condition has not yet been released.

Arrest of Homicide Suspect Zayahshay Davis

On June 24, 2026, officers from the 22nd District apprehended 22-year-old Zayahshay Davis in the area of 12th and Huntingdon Streets. Following the arrest, Davis was transported to Homicide Headquarters, where she is currently being held for further processesing. Updates will be provided as they become available. 

Homicide Investigation – 9000 block of Frankford Avenue

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this afternoon in the city’s 8th District.

On June 23, 2026, at approximately 3:51 PM, officers responded to reports of gunfire on the highway along the 9000 block of Frankford Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics immediately treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Jefferson/Aria Torresdale Hospital where the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 4:22 PM.

The investigation is active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit. No arrests have been made at this time, and no weapon has been recovered. Updates will be shared as they become available.

Man Wanted for Mass Shooting in West Philadelphia Arrested

PHILADELPHIA, PA (June 23, 2026)(CNBNews)–Philadelphia police announced Tuesday the arrest of a suspect in connection with a March mass shooting that left two men dead and three others injured in the city’s 18th District.

Marquis Andrews was taken into custody on June 23 and transferred from the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center to the police department’s Homicide Unit, where he faces charges for his alleged role in the deadly attack.

The arrest stems from an incident on Monday, March 30, 2026. At approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to emergency calls reporting an armed individual on the 300 block of South 60th Street. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered five individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Overnight Incidents

The Philadelphia Police Department is actively investigating three separate violent incidents that occurred across the city in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 20, 2026. These incidents left three people injured by gunfire and a group of friends subjected to an armed carjacking following a neighborhood shootout.

Double Shooting Leaves One Critically Injured after Verbal Dispute

At approximately 2:42 AM, officers from the 25th District responded to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Room following the arrival of two walk-in gunshot victims. Preliminary findings indicate that a 23-year-old female and a 27-year-old female had left a local bar around 2:30 AM and were driving to drop the older female off at home. Approximately 15 minutes into their drive, a dark-colored sedan pulled alongside the passenger side of their vehicle. Following a brief verbal exchange between the 23-year-old victim and an occupant of the sedan, a suspect inside the dark vehicle opened fire. The suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene. Realizing her passenger was unresponsive and bleeding, the driver rushed to Temple ER. The 23-year-old driver is currently listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to her left shoulder, while the 27-year-old passenger remains in critical condition with a gunshot wound to her left eye. The motive is currently unknown, no arrests have been made, and the Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.

Shooting Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is currently investigating a shooting that left a man in extremely critical condition on Tuesday afternoon in West Philadelphia.

At approximately 4:35 p.m., officers from the 18th District responded to a residence on the 53xx block of Spruce Street, where they located an adult male inside the property suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Officers immediately transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was admitted and is currently listed in extremely critical condition. A person of interest has been taken into custody for further investigation. The scene is currently being held for processing. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Homicide Suspect Dennis Patton

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Division is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 42-year-old Dennis Patton, whose last known address is on the 2000 block of Titan Street.

An active arrest warrant has been issued for Patton in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month.

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 10:31 p.m., officers from the 17th District responded to a report of a crowd disturbance on the highway along the 2100 block of Wharton Street. While en route, officers heard gunshots and subsequently located 31-year-old Walter S. Holloway of the 2210 block of Oakford Street lying on the highway, suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and leg. Officers immediately transported Holloway to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:00 p.m.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dennis Patton is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit an anonymous tip by calling or texting 215-686-TIPS (8477). A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
