Sluggball, a new baseball-inspired hitting competition, will host its inaugural All-Star Classic featuring retired Phillies legends in a fast-paced 4-on-4 exhibition – no fielding, no baserunning, just hitting.
Charlie Manuel and Larry Bowa will manage the two competing teams that feature Cole Hamels, Mike Lieberthal, Joe Blanton, Aaron Rowand, Kenny Lofton, Mickey Morandini and Sluggball co-founder Ruben Amaro Jr.
Each batter gets eight swings or 35 seconds per at-bat, aiming for designated zones of the field (pull side, up the middle, opposite field, around the horn).
Proceeds of the event will benefit The Darren Daulton Foundation and the Ruben Amaro Sr. Foundation.

The Previously Sold-Out Mystery Returns for its Third Summer Night of Adventure
Philadelphia, PA – Get ready for an unforgettable evening of mystery and excitement at Philadelphia Zoo! The third annual “Zoo Done It?,” in partnership with Without a Cue Productions, will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 5:30-8:30pm. New for this year, guests 16+ are welcome to this after-hours scavenger hunt and mystery experience that gives them the chance to uncover the secrets hidden within the Zoo’s enchanting grounds as they embark on a special quest. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best 1920’s apparel (with comfortable shoes, of course!). Participants will try to solve the mystery with one winning an exclusive chance to return to the Zoo for spooky season and enjoy a private guided tour of The Solitude, a famous American historic landmark which is believed to be haunted. General admission tickets are on sale starting at $70 with early bird pricing expiring soon. Zoo members receive a $10 discount on all tickets.
