ELMER B. CATLING, JR. of Bellmawr

Funeral Services were held for Elmer B. Catling, Jr., 85, of Bellmawr, who died January 30, 2009.

Born in Camden and raised both there and Merchantville. He was a proud US Army Veteran and Navy Reserves and served during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #9563, Bellmawr. Prior to retirement in 1986 as general manager of circulation, Elmer was employed by Knight Ridder with the Philadelphia Inquirer for 30 years. He enjoyed the sounds of the Lennon Sisters and Lawrence Welk and liked to relax while watching professional wrestling.

Beloved husband of 67 years to Dorothy J.; devoted father of Gary S. Catling and the late Elmer J. \”Butch,\” Robert P. \”Bobby,\” and Joseph B. \”Joey;\” loving grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 17.
