Gloucester City\’s economy will get a big lift in the months ahead from a construction project that has been in the works for the past two years. Councilman Nick Marchese released the following statement today about this improvement to the community.
\”TD Bank will begin construction this coming week with Cumberland Street being closed off to Broadway the following week. There will be a new design to the Broadway/Cumberland Street intersection when the project is completed. The area will be fenced off and a new detour plan will be in place.
\”Safety is the first concern for our school children and citizens. The bank plans to open sometime in September. When the job is completed Cumberland Street will become a one way street. Parking will not be effected on Cumberland.
