GLOUCESTER CITY NJ-On March 19, 2009 at 6:34 p.m. Gloucester City Police along with the G.C.F.D. ambulance were dispatched to the 600 block of Powell Street for a report of a boy who was struck by a car.
Investigation determined a (6) year old boy ran into the street between two parked vehicles, a mini-van and an SUV, and into the path of an SUV traveling east on Powell Street. The driver of the SUV could not stop in time and struck the boy with the front bumper, knocking him to the ground. The boy was transported to the hospital for treatment. The injuries are reported to be minor at this time.
The driver of the SUV was not charged in the incident
