TCNJ’S FIELD HOCKEY GAME WITH RAMAPO POSTPONED

Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey field hockey team had its game with Ramapo College set Thursday, October 15 at Lions’ Stadium postponed due to inclement weather.
The game has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Lions’ Stadium.
Both teams resume play on Saturday as TCNJ as second-ranked Salisbury University comes to Lions’ Stadium for a 1 p.m. start, while Ramapo remains on the road heading to Bay Path College for a noon contest.

ROWAN WOMEN’S SOCCER EDGES KEAN, 3-2

GLASSBORO, NJ – Forward Veronica Rhea scored the game-winner with 7:34 remaining to give Rowan University a 3-2 victory over Kean University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Wednesday.

Back Christine Foy (so. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) sent a pass down the field over the defense. Rhea (so. Pennsauken, NJ/Paul VI) raced by the defenders and sent the ball into the back of the net.

The Profs, ranked 10th in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Rankings, improve to 12-1-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference. Rowan has a nine game win streak. The Cougars have a 5-4-4 record with a 2-2-2 NJAC mark.
