This past September Mount Ephraim American Legion Post 150 and Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 6262, in conjunction with the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs, had the distinct honor of awarding the Camden County Military Service Medal to seven veterans living in Mount Ephraim and the surrounding area.
Lieutenant Colonel A. Bancroft U.S.M.C. retired, Veterans Affairs Officer for Camden County, did the honors by individually placing the Military Service Medal around the necks of those brave souls in attendance that have served, or are still serving, in the Armed Forces of this great nation, Post 150 Commander Jim Conley said.
Col. Bancroft also presented a Purple Heart to Corporal Zachary J. Myers, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, for injuries he incurred during his second deployment to Iraq.
