Gayle D. Ferguson (nee Henkel), age 58 of Mt. Royal formerly of Gloucester City and Mantua passed away on Thursday, March 18th, 2010. Born in Camden, she was a graduate of Gloucester City Junior Senior High School class of 1970. She earned her master’s degree in education from Glassboro State and resided in Mantua since 1976. Gayle was very active in Centre City Elementary School and was a kindergarten teacher for many years.
She was the beloved wife of Brian E. Ferguson, and her children, Christine and her finance\’ David Cummings of Mantua, Michael and his wife Jessica of Mantua, Kelly of Mt. Royal, two sisters, Hope Henkel of Gloucester City, Gloria Ritchie and husband John of Sea Isle City, and a \”grandson to be\” Shane.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family 4 – 8 PM Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua NJ and Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 at the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua NJ where a Final Visitation will be held from 10:15-11:15 and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM. Interment will be in Wenonah Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy contributions in Gayle\’s memory may be made to the National MS Society, the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, 1 Reed St. Ste. 200 Philadelphia, PA 19147.
