WASHINGTON – In this week’s address, President Barack Obama asked all Americans to join him in remembering and honoring our men and women in uniform who have died in service to the country. The commitment these heroes have demonstrated – the willingness to lay down their lives so the rest of us might inherit the blessings of this nation – has helped make America the most prosperous, most powerful nation on earth and it is what we honor on Memorial Day.

When Special Agent Rick M. deployed to Afghanistan for temporary duty in 2004, only a handful of FBI personnel were assigned to the war theater, and the Bureau had no formal training program to prepare them for the experience.

Today, much has changed. Hundreds of our agents, analysts, and support staff have volunteered for assignments in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Agent M.—who has returned overseas several times since his first trip—is one of the people in charge of their pre-deployment training.

Loving, generous and beloved Son, Brother, Cousin, Friend, Husband, Brother- in- law, Uncle, Father, Father- in- law and Pop-Pop. Survived by his loving and devoted Wife of 62 years, Josephine; his Twins, Valerie and Charles; his much loved Grandchildren: Christine, Ashley, Michael, Shanie and Chas. He was crazy about his Daughter- in-law Maureen and Son-in-law Chalie. Brother-in-law of Sarah, Millie (who he loved to harass) and Anthony, Dot and Peg. He loved sharing old stories with his surviving brother Paul and his 105 year old Uncle Frank. He was Dad and Pop to Mariama and Fatima. He was Seray and Kaddy’s \”Superman.\” He had many old and new friends such as Patti, Tony, Johnny and Brian.

The 600 or more refrigerated trailers belonging to the successful business are parked on the site of a former race track that existed on the property in the late 1880’s. Woodstock’s connection came later.

Richard Friesen, vice president of the company, relayed a lot of information about the business and the trailers that are leased and driven all along the east coast and even into parts of Texas and Illinois. \”Our trailers can really go anywhere,\” Friesen said.

The Thermo King refrigerated trailers ranging in sizes from 28’ to 53’ are used to safely carry products that have to remain fresh, cold or frozen to the supermarkets. In the two zoned storage area of the trucks, the front bulkhead can be used for frozen foods and if needed, the rest of the area can hold foods that do not need refrigeration, such as canned and packaged food.

• On 05/14 at 1406 an officer observed an argument on Broadway and Mercer Street. William Ferrell, Sr. (58) of the 400 block of Middlesex Street was arrested for simple assault after the officer observed him punch a female in the head.

• On 05/14 at 2011 officers responded to Springdale Drive for a residential alarm. Upon arrival they observed a window screen damaged and an unlocked rear door. Sgt. Burkhardt had K-9 Eich conduct a search of the interior of the residence, however, no one was found on location. It is unknown if anything is missing as the homeowner was on vacation.
