VIDEO: Brooklawn NJ 9-11 Memorial Finishing Touches-cnbnews.net

CNBNEWS.NET…The finishing touches on the Brooklawn 9/11 Memorial and Monument were made on Wednesday, August 17. The memorial is located at the Brooklawn\’s Memorial Park, South Hannevig and Maude Aves., in front of the fire department.

The memorial includes soil obtained from the U.S. Department of the Interior-National Park Service – Flight 93 National Memorial at Shanksville, PA; Limestone from the Pentagon Disaster Site, donated by the U.S. Department of Defense – Washington Headquarters Services; and a 8, 438 lb steel beam from the World Trade Center Disaster Site, donated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Government representatives, along with Brooklawn Police Capt. Steve Saymon, Police Chief Fran McKinney, were on hand to lay the final stone for the monument .

The official dedication will be held on September 11, 2011. Time to be announced.
