CAMDEN, N.J. (March 9, 2013) – The Rutgers University-Camden baseball team turned 15 hits, seven hit basemen, 10 walks and two errors into 16 runs here Saturday afternoon as the Scarlet Raptors routed the City College of New York, 16-3, in a non-conference game.

Rutgers-Camden improves to 4-2, while CCNY falls to 0-4.

The Scarlet Raptors scored quickly and often, taking the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning and adding five more in the third. That was more than enough support for junior southpaw Ryan Farabella (Vineland, NJ/Buena Regional) to earn his first victory at Rutgers-Camden. Farabella (1-0), a transfer from Camden County College, worked seven innings of four-hit ball, allowing three runs (only one earned) and three walks, while striking out eight. He threw no-hit ball until allowing a leadoff single in the fourth inning.
