(CNBNEWS.NET)Gloucester High School senior captains along with the other senior players lead the 2013 Lion’s by example. The Lion’s Varsity Baseball team returned 7 starters from this seasons 6 -11 squad for the 2014 campaign, but the leadership of the outgoing 2013 seniors will be reflected next season through their dedication and commitment to the program.
Captain Thomas O’Donnell a three year varsity starter has not missed an inning behind the plate this season. O’Donnell has been a stellar performer helping the young pitchers with his defense and handling the pitches. The captain leads the Lions in many categories, (No. 1) in 15- runs batted in, (No. 1) in 12- base on balls and (No. 2) in .340 team batting ave. Along with O’Donnell is captain – Albie Carracino who roams centerfielder and directs the other young outfielders. Carracino leads the team with a .358 team batting ave. and five stolen bases and (No. 2) in 12 runs batted in.
