 Seventeen spectators were crushed to death at a boxing match in remote easternIndonesia after supporters of the loser started a riot, according to police.

\”Seventeen people died in the crush, 12 of whom were women, and another 38 were injured and have been hospitalised for treatment,\” Papua provincialpolice spokesman I Gede Sumerta Jaya told AFP.

A 45 year-old Monroe Township NJ man who was physically impaired from cerebral palsy drowned in his family\’s in-ground swimming pool tonight (7/18) while family members said he was exercising a weakened leg.

The man was pulled from the bottom of the nine-foot deep end of the pool by relatives who applied CPR in an unssuccessful attempt to revive him. He was transported from the home in the1000 block of Spruce Ave. by ambulance to Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Washington Township NJ and pronounced dead at 6:06 p.m. A preliminary investigation by the Monroe Township Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor\’s Office concluded it was an accidental drowning.

NEWARK, NJ—A Pennsylvania man was sentenced today to 24 months in prison for illegally selling firearms and ammunition on multiple occasions for thousands of dollars in cash, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Eduardo Velasquez, 63, of Reading, Pennsylvania, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge William H. Walls to an information charging him with one count of illegally dealing in firearms. Judge Walls imposed the sentence today in Newark federal court.
