The Scarlet Knights have already secured two commitments at the tight end position within the recruiting class of 2014. But while the numbers would suggest they move on from recruiting the position, the players they have committed are more of the in-line blocking variety than productive pass-catchers.
Therefore, the Rutgers staff appears open to adding a third prospect at the position, one who not only has the strength and size to block, but also stretch the defense. Jamal Custis, a 6-6, 220-pound pass-catcher fromNeumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, Pa.) certainly fits the mold. And according to him, Rutgers is still actively recruiting him.
