88-YEAR-OLD MAN INJURED IN REAR-END AUTO ACCIDENT

WOODBURY NJ (AUGUST 2, 2013)–An 88-yer-old Newfield NJ man was hospitalized this morning with injuries from a rear-end collision his car sustained on Piney Hollow Road in Franklin Township NJ.

The victim, Anthony Ferruci (DOB 6/6/25), of Piney Hollow Rd., Newfield was transported following the 11:16 a.m. collision to Cooper Medical Center in Camden NJ along with the driver whose Honda crashed into Ferruci\’s Chrysler car, Hector Ramos (DOB 2/24/78), of 586 10th St., Hammonton. Both were admitted to Cooper.

Ramos attempted to flee but was apprehended by Franklin Township police officers. He is charged with assault by auto, causing injury while driving without a license, leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury and driving while intoxicated.. Bail was set at $75,000.

The crash was investigated by the Franklin Township Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor\’s Office.
