Rose Gramigna McShane, age 85, of Lebanon, PA, formerly of Audubon

 

 

Rose Gramigna McShane, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2013, with her loving \"McShane husband of 63 years, Joseph Patrick \”Pat\” McShane, Jr. at her side. Born December 17, 1927, Rose was the third of eight children born to Joseph and Jane Gramigna. She graduated from Audubon High in 1946 where she played basketball and maintained lifelong friendships with her club sisters. Rose is survived by her eight children: J. Patrick III (Judith), Michael (Sharon), Maryellen Bednarski (Joseph), Timothy (Susan), Teresa Mascoli (James), Daniel (MaryAnn), David (Eurhi) and Frank (Vanessa), 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Garrity and her brothers, Charles and the Reverend Francis Gramigna. Rose was preceded in death by her dear sisters Mary Lippa and Joan Campbell and her brothers, Joseph and Edward Gramigna. 

 

Rose worked at Audubon National Bank before becoming a full-time Homemaker, then worked in the Paul VI cafeteria and Haddon Savings / Interboro bank before \”retiring\” to Cambria County, PA in 1993, where her and Pat spent many wonderful hours with the Killbucks Square Dancing Club, moving to Lebanon, Pa in 1999. Rose was an excellent seamstress who loved making clothing, dolls and quilts (including a wedding dress) for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She had a deep faith and a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Rose and Pat were involved in service with their church and she lived a life of service to others. She provided a great example to her children of a loving wife and with her husband, a loving couple. Rose was affectionately known in her family as \”Sarge\” for the firm yet loving way she raised the children. She enjoyed hosting many family gatherings especially the July 4th family picnic. She was skilled at cooking and baking, always being prepared to set a plate when family and friends paid a visit. Rose took great delight in all of her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always thrilled when they would visit. 

 

 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 PM and again on Monday morning from 9 to 10:15 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11 AM at Saint Rose of Lima R.C. Church: 4th Avenue at Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
