Pennsylvania Crime :Douglass Township Supervisor charged with theft, conflict of interest

press release

\"09-03-14_Ziegler_Frederick\"HARRISBURG – Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced charges against Douglass Township Supervisor Frederick Ziegler for allegedly stealing township property for his own personal use.

The case was referred to the Office of Attorney General in June by Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman due to a conflict of interest.

According to the criminal complaint, Frederick Ziegler, 61, 164 Henry Road, Barto, Montgomery County, instructed the township highway supervisor to purchase a new chainsaw for the township but deliver it to Ziegler\’s residence for his personal use. Ziegler is also accused of misusing a township gas credit card and purchasing a propane tank and plywood for himself using the township municipal account.

The investigation revealed that the township highway supervisor did what Ziegler told him to do because he was his boss, and that in his role as township supervisor, Ziegler approved monthly bills for the township that included the items and expenses he is accused of stealing.

Wow! I know that I have this photo somewhere in a box in the basement. So wonderful of you to post it. I did come up with a couple of names for you and will try to contact Claire Ford because she has a wonderful memory! Here are some names I came up with and I hope that we (the class) can come up with all of the names.
Dori

Row 1

Next to Robert Volz (not Voll) is Flo Simala (not sure of the spelling – could be Symala?)

Next to Bob Wynn is Madeline Herbert

Row Three
Next to Joe Flynn is Eileen Warner — instead of M. Barbera her name is Maria

Fouth Row
Andrea McCracken  is next to Frank Kelly (you have Ann instead of Andrea)

Fifth Row
And — I do not know his name, but if you look at Bill Gross and go to the other side of the Blessed Mother – who is that boy? He is to the left – looking at the photo – of Mary Heade.
