Reminder for week: Boaters, jet ski operators reminded to wear engine shut off safety lanyard
DOVER (Sept. 12, 2014) – To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Natural Resources Police, Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Agents between Sept. 2-8 made 918 contacts with anglers, hunters, boaters and the general public, including 143 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks. Agents responded to 38 complaints and issued 24 citations, two of which of which were related to increased Fish and Wildlife Enforcement presence at the C&D Canal Conservation Area and associated recreational trail currently under construction.

GLOUCESTER CITY – In Mark Maccarone’s first three years at the helm of the Glassboro High football team, he had not won an opening-day game.
After two South Jersey, Group 1 titles and a move up to Group 2, the task of winning the first game of the season was completed in his fourth season with a 49-7 win over Gloucester Catholic on Saturday in a West Jersey Football League-Diamond Division matchup.

It took the Bulldogs six minutes to get their first points, on a 19-yard pass from Mike Maldonado to Quentin Parham to give Glassboro a lead it would not relinquish.
Four minutes later, Maldonado completed a 17-yard TD pass to Ronnie James. To cap the quarter, Maldonado put a 74-yard pass in the hands of Enis Hutchinson for a 21-0 lead to end the first.
The Bulldogs\’ defense also got into the scoring, as nose guard Kenyonn Jones picked off a pass from Rams backup quarterback Chris Garwood and returned it for a 25-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Devoted mother of John Morrow (Kathleen), JoAnne Vereneck and Joyce Morrow. Loving grandmom Emmy of Shelby, Lindsey, and Michael. Beloved sister of Tom Redenius and the late Rev. Josephine Baker. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morrow was a member of Runnemede Women’s Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 3pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR.
Memorial Service 3pm at the funeral home.
Interment private at the request of the family.

Beloved wife of 66 years of John R. Morella. Devoted mother of Joseph Morella, Roseann Black (Ed) and Loretta Zonies (Daniel). Dear sister of Giacomo, Letizia and the late Jennie. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a niece and a nephew.
Mrs. Morella worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
There will be a viewing from 10 to 11am Tuesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR.
Funeral Service 11am at the funeral home.
Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
