HARRISBURG – Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane today announced that a convicted child predator in York County has been sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison, and five suspected child predators were arrested on unrelated charges across the Commonwealth.

The arrests of suspected predators are part of the Attorney General\’s ongoing efforts to combat the online sexual exploitation of children. Those announced today include defendants from Butler, Northampton, Westmoreland and York counties.

Sentencing of Eddie Junior Mort II in York County

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, Eddie Junior Mort II was sentenced to 25 to 50 years of prison in a State Correctional Institution stemming from a successful investigation and prosecution by Attorney General Kane\’s Child Predator Section.

In June 2013, he was charged with three counts of sexual abuse of children for distributing child pornography, seven counts of sexual abuse of children for possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. At the time, Mort was already listed on Pennsylvania Megan\’s Law and the National Sex Offender websites as a registered sex offender.

Mort had been convicted on all charges following trial on April 28, 2014 and was also found to be a Sexually Violent Predator by the court prior to his sentencing.

Mort was prosecuted in York County by Senior Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones.

Arrest of Christopher Cullen Lorenz of Butler County

Christopher Cullen Lorenz, 44, 1429 Grant Ave. Ext., East Butler, Butler County, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 by the Child Predator Section for sharing and possessing child pornography depicting children as young as 6 years of age, according to the criminal complaint.

After agents conducting an online investigation identified a user possessing and sharing child pornography, a search warrant was executed at the residence where the IP address was registered. According to the criminal complaint, agents recovered multiple computers and electronic devices during the search.

The devices were examined by forensic experts from the Child Predator Section on scene and a preliminary review revealed more than 600 files in various formats with file names indicative of child pornographic content.

Lorenz is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children for distributing child pornography, 15 counts of sexual abuse of children for possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

Attorney General Kane thanked the troopers of the Pennsylvania State Police for its assistance. Lorenz will be prosecuted in Butler County by Deputy Attorney General Anthony Marmo of the Child Predator Section.

Arrest of Albert Mirabella of York County

According to the criminal complaint, Albert Mirabella, 68, 2055 Tall Fir Drive, Dover, York County, allegedly used peer-to-peer networks to distribute and download apparent child pornography.

Agents discovered Mirabella\’s alleged activity while conducting an undercover online investigation. A search warrant was executed at his residence and apparent child pornography was found on a computer in his basement. A forensic search revealed a sampling of 25 images and a video of apparent child pornography on his device, according to the criminal complaint.

Did Clinton Aides Withhold Damaging Benghazi Documents? | The Daily Signal

As the House Select Committee on Benghazi prepares for its first hearing this week, a former State Department diplomat is coming forward with a startling allegation: Hillary Clinton confidants were part of an operation to \”separate\” damaging documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating security lapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya.

New Benghazi allegation puts spotlight on Hillary Clinton confidants, alleged after-hours document review.

According to former Deputy Assistant Secretary Raymond Maxwell, the after-hours session took place over a weekend in a basement operations-type center at State Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. This is the first time Maxwell has publicly come forward with the story.

At the time, Maxwell was a leader in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA), which was charged with collecting emails and documents relevant to the Benghazi probe.

\”I was not invited to that after-hours endeavor, but I heard about it and decided

to check it out on a Sunday afternoon,\” says Maxwell.

He didn’t know it then, but Maxwell would ultimately become one of four State Department officials singled out for discipline—he says scapegoated—then later cleared for devastating security lapses leading up to the attacks. Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were murdered during the Benghazi attacks.
