Obituary: James J. Rodgers of Bellmawr

James J. Rodgers, on September 9, 2014, of Bellmawr. Age 87.

Son of the late James and Dorothy (nee Linsenbigler) Rodgers. Beloved husband of the late Katherine \”Kitty\” Rodgers (nee Kingkiner). Devoted father of Jimmy Rodgers and stepfather of Robert Sullivan. Dear brother of Dorothy Sattler and John Rodgers.

James proudly served in the US Army during World War II.

There will be a viewing from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday evening and 9am to 10am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR.

Funeral service 10am Thursday at the funeral home. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

LOCAL FOOTBALL: FRIDAY WAS A LOUSY DAY FOR THE LIONS AND THE RAMS

(CNBNews.net)Both Gloucester High and Gloucester Catholic High School football teams had a tough time on the gridiron Friday. The Lions lost their first game of the season to Glassboro. As for the Rams, new coach Casey Murphy hasn\’t been able to win a game since the season started four weeks ago. Glassboro’s Penn State-bound wide receiver Juwan Johnson, a monster this season, continued his dominating ways by snaring a game-high four passes for 105 yards, all in the first half. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound receiver had receptions of 20, 29 and 48 yards.
