Pasadena Man Charged by NRP with 45 Counts of Illegal Deer Hunting
MARYLAND–(December 22, 2014)An Anne Arundel County man has been charged by the Maryland Natural Resources Police with 45 counts of illegal deer hunting and faces potential fines of $11,250 for actions taken on Gibson Island this fall.
Andrew Wendell, 51, of Pasadena is accused of failing to report 20 of the 25 white-tailed deer he killed between Oct. 2 and Nov. 21, and failing to note any of the kills on his Big Game Harvest Record, as required by state law.
A NRP officer reviewed the hunting harvest log kept for Gibson Island, a private community that permits hunting by members of a hunt club, against what Wendell reported to DNR. All deer harvests must be checked in within 24 hours of the kill.
