The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that an Old Forge pharmacist who previously plead guilty to health care fraud was sentenced on December 18, 2014 in federal court in Scranton.
United States District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion sentenced Peter J. Capitano, age 58, to 15 months’ imprisonment followed by a three-year term of supervised release. Capitano was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $166,287.03 to Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Medicaid.
