It is with deep regret that the Philadelphia Police Canine Unit announces that recently retired Philadelphia Police Canine Danny #K554, who served the City of Philadelphia as a Patrol/Explosive \"Audiosonic-1\"Detection canine has passed away. Canine Danny served with the department since 2004. K9 Danny and his handler P/O Jim Zimmerman #3889 have participated numerous Thrill Shows and USPCA police dog competitions winning numerous awards. After retiring K9 Danny enjoyed retirement at home with P/O Zimmerman and his family.
