Legacy
With a fun-loving, honest, tell-it-like-it-is approach to life, Bill devoted his life to his community and law enforcement. He worked for the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, achieving the rank of Lieutenant, the State of New Jersey, and most recently, returned to the Woodbury Police Department. He taught Criminal Justice courses at Rowan University and Gloucester County College, and was a graduate himself of Rowan, Farleigh Dickenson University, and the FBI Academy. He had a passion for discussing politics, riding his bike, and left turns (car racing).
Family
He is the beloved father of William Jr. and Kristin M. Woodward (Stanley); dear brother of James B Jr. and the late Francis; loving grandfather of Cooper E. Woodward.

Visitation 6:30 PM and Time of Remembrance 8:45 PM Friday and visitation Saturday 9:15-10:15 AM at McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Funeral Mass Saturday 11 AM at Holy Angels Worship Center, 96 Green Avenue, Woodbury. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
