Berlin Township police found his body in the home, located on the first block of Holly Drive in West Berlin. The former girlfriend who lived there had been out of the house for her own safety while the search for Eitel continued, authorities said. The home was checked and cleared by police Friday night. Investigators believe Eitel snuck in overnight and hanged himself in the garage with a rope while kneeling, according to the prosecutor\’s office. Police returned to the Holly Drive home Saturday after the homeowner asked to return. They were checking the home to make sure it was safe for the resident when they found Eitel.
