CNB Hunting/Fishing Delaware: Georgetown man fined for harvesting deer out-of-season

 

GEORGETOWN (July 2, 2015) – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers arrested a Georgetown man earlier this week, following an investigation into a report of two white-tailed deer being shot out of season.

William Betts, 25, was charged June 29 with two counts each of hunting white-tailed deer during a closed season, possession of unlawfully taken antlered deer and wanton waste of a game animal. He pled guilty to all six charges in Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown. Betts was fined $3,442 and had his Delaware hunting privileges revoked for two years.
