(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced overnight lane closures on Route 42 northbound this week as the Direct Connection project advances in Camden and Gloucester counties.
Starting Monday, August 31 at 8:00 p.m., NJDOT’s Contractor, PKF-Mark III, Inc., will close 3 out of 4 lanes on Route 42 northbound to allow for the demolition of the old I-295 bridge over Route 42. Lanes will be closed Monday through Thursday nights as follows – 8:00 p.m. single lane closure, 10:00 p.m. double lane closure, 11:00 p.m. triple lane closure until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
