Philadelphia, PA – Get ready for a fun and fright-filled weekend as Circus Campus in West Mt. Airy transforms the historic 100-year old venue into one of the spookiest places in Philly. Philadelphia School of Circus Arts presents Haunted Circus Weekend: Scary Movie Edition on Saturday, November 1, 2025 with two shows – all ages/ families and adults only. Circus students and faculty will present a circus-style homage to horror classics inside the 26,000 sq/ft historic former church turned into a haunted haven for Halloween lovers of all ages. This year’s fright-tastic new theme Scary Movies will celebrate spine-tingling classics to cult horror favorites. Enjoy a spooky season tribute to the silver screen’s most iconic scream-fests – all reimagined through the daring, dazzling lens of contemporary circus arts. Expect aerial homages to horror heroines, acrobatic zombies, juggling psychos, and more. Haunted Circus will take place at Circus Campus and PSCA at 6452 Greene St, Philadelphia, PA 19119. Tickets for the all-ages show are advance $15 adults and $10 children, and at the door $20 adults and $15 children. The adult-only show is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Commissioners Break Ground on Gateway Park Kayak Launch

The Camden County Board of Commissioners, Upstream Alliance, and the New Jersey Conservation Foundation will break ground on the Gateway Park kayak launch in Camden City, October 31 at Gateway Park, 2798 Admiral Wilson Boulevard, Pennsauken, at noon.

“These enhancements will provide increased access to Cooper River and the Delaware River back channels for Camden County residents,” said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, liaison to Camden County Parks Department. “The Board of Commissioners is committed to creating spaces where our residents can enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and regain access to our most important waterways.”

FBI Philadelphia Accepting Nominations for 2026 Citizens Academy Programs

The FBI Philadelphia Field Office is seeking candidates for our 2026 Citizens Academy programs. Sessions are held in person at our Philadelphia office.

The FBI Citizens Academy program is an engaging eight-week curriculum that gives business, religious, civic, and community leaders an inside look at the FBI.

The mission of the FBI Citizens Academy is to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education.

“The FBI Citizens Academy is an opportunity for our personnel to connect directly with members of the community they serve,” said Wayne A. Jacobs, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office. “This program highlights how vital these partnerships are to our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution. In how who we are, what we do, and how we do it, we hope to foster a greater sense of trust and transparency with the citizens we serve.”

Candidates are nominated by FBI employees, Citizens Academy graduates, and community leaders. Interested community members may also self-nominate for consideration.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until November 30th, 2025. The first 2026 session will begin in early February and run through early-April.

Once nominations are received/reviewed, qualifying candidates will receive an application and additional details regarding the 2026 schedule and application process.

Diners may indulge in one of two curated experiences: a three-course menu priced at $55 per person or an elevated option priced at $75 per person, each featuring seasonal flavors and Park Place Prime’s signature flair.

The $55 Fall Harvest menu begins with a choice of mozzarella arancini made with crispy risotto, truffle crema and shaved parmesan; or a classic Caesar salad featuring hearts of romaine, crispy capers, pecorino romano, grana padano, white anchovy and brioche croutons. Entrée selections include steak frites, a seven-ounce wood-grilled New York strip accompanied by truffle fries and chimichurri; roasted chicken served with rosemary jus lié, grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes; salmon Milanese with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal greens, lemon vinaigrette, saffron aioli and aged balsamic; or the Park Place Prime Burger, a 10-ounce wagyu beef patty topped with caramelized onions, Gruyère, truffle butter and on a brioche bun, served with garlic fries.

NJ American Water Encourages Customers to Explore Bill Payment Assistance

CAMDEN, N.J. – OCT. 30, 2025 – As the federal government shutdown continues to delay pay for federal worker and contractors and disrupts funding for public programs, New Jersey American Water is reminding customers that several affordability resources are available to help maintain access to clean, reliable water and wastewater service.

For decades, New Jersey American Water has provided payment assistance programs for its customers and recently expanded eligibility guidelines to simplify enrollment for those in need. These changes were planned well before current events but have become especially timely for customers facing unexpected financial strain at this time.

Member of Violent Extremist Network ‘764’ Charged With Major Crimes

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of California has returned a six-count indictment against Tony Christopher Long, also known as Inactive, Inactivee0, and inactivecvx, 19, of Porterville, California, charging him with animal crushing (two counts), sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor, cyberstalking, and transmitting an interstate threat. Long is currently in state custody on related charges.

FBI Philadelphia Armored Truck Robberies and Attempted Robbery Arrests

FBI Philadelphia Special Agent in Charge Wayne A. Jacobs announced that Dante Shackleford, 26, has been arrested and charged by indictment in connection with three armored truck robberies or attempted robberies that occurred in July and August and another attempted armored truck robbery in October. Mujahid Davis, 24, was also arrested and charged in the October attempted armored truck robbery.

“The swift arrests in this case are a testament to the strength of the partnerships that define the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force,” said Jacobs. “I commend the women and men of this task force for their determination and diligence in the pursuit of public safety. Their work exemplifies our unwavering commitment to protecting our community from violent crime.”
