Barbara passed away on December 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Age 82 years.
Born on January 23, 1943, Barbara was a life-long resident of Audubon, NJ and a 1962 graduate of Audubon High School. Immediately after graduation she started work at Audubon National Bank, initiating a 50 year career through many different bank mergers and ending with her retirement in 2012 from Audubon Savings as bank manager.
During her many years volunteering, she served on many Audubon committees. Her family fondly called her “Miss Audubon”. Barbara was a member of the Alumni and Ring of Honor Committees at Audubon High School and was honored with induction to “The Hall of Fame” in 2009. As a devoted volunteer, she was a member of the Audubon Lions Club and was voted “Lion of the Year” several times for her efforts. A 20+ year member of the Audubon 4th of July Committee, she was Grand Marshall of the parade in 2005. In 2009, she was honored by the Community of Audubon as “Outstanding Woman of the Year” for dedication and service to the Audubon community.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Harold Ruff and sister-in-law, Catherine Brown Ruff; a nephew, Todd Ruff and his wife, Colleen Cunningham Ruff; a niece, Stacy Ruff Harvey and her husband, Robert Harvey and a cousin, Penny Gibson Henwood, who has always been like a sister to Barbara.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment private.
