Camden County Roadwork Projects

(Lindenwold, NJ) – Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of December 15 to December 19. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Berlin Township

South Jersey Gas will be working on Cooper Road from Monday, Dec. 15 to Thursday, Dec. 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Cushman Avenue & Hopewell Road. 

Camden

  • PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Monday, Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a lane shift between South 35th Street & South 36th Street. 
  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue & Euclid Avenue. 
  • PSE&G will be working on Federal Street and River Avenue from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Federal Street between River Avenue & 16th Street and a full road closure of River Avenue between East State Street & Federal Street. 
  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.
  • PSE&G will be working on Mt. Ephraim Avenue from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Carl Miller Boulevard & Ferry Avenue. 
  • PSE&G will be working on Baird Boulevard & Federal Street from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Baird Boulevard between Carman Street & Federal Street and a shoulder closure on Federal Street at the intersection with South 27th Street.
  • PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue from Tuesday, Dec. 16 to Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 7th Street & Kossuth Street.  Wednesday, there will be a full road closure between Kossuth Street & Phillips Street.
  • Crews will be working on Market Street from Wednesday, Dec. 17 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be lane shifts between North 8th Street & North 10th Street.
  • PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue on Friday, Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Phillips Street & South 9th Street.

Collingswood

Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, Dec. 15 to Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue. 

Haddon Township

PSE&G will be working on West Park Avenue on Thursday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Glenwood Avenue & West Crystal Lake Avenue.

Haddonfield

Crews will be working on Kings Highway West on Thursday, Dec. 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Avondale Avenue & Chews Landing Road. 

Winslow Township

Crews will be working on Erial Road from Monday, Dec. 15 to Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be partial road closure northbound on Erial Road between Sicklerville Road & Vista Court.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, 50 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
