Philadelphia, PA – This Valentine’s season, romance takes a darker, more seductive turn at Cupid’s Nest, an exclusive pop-up experience inside Newsroom Philly. Hidden behind a discreet 7-up soda machine entrance on Germantown Avenue, this Valentine and Galentine themed speakeasy is fully reimagined as a sultry, rose-soaked hideout built for date nights, Galentine’s celebrations and spontaneous late nights. Running Wednesday through Sunday throughout the Valentine’s season, Cupid’s Nest blends moody lighting, immersive design and playful adult Valentine’s energy – where classic romance collides with modern nightlife. Look for hundreds of roses, red and pink hearts, twinkling red and white lights, photo stations and the giant glowing heart aerial hoop custom built for dazzling aerial circus entertainment on select nights. Tables are covered in formal red linens and themed cocktails are pouring at the bar, with some new elevated options from the kitchen, perfect for sharing.
Enter through the Diet 7-Up machine, and past the giant red heart on N. 2nd Street along Northern Liberties Restaurant Row, and enter a dimly lit hallway filled with hanging roses and a romantic rose photo wall at the end. Enter through the door behind the red velvet curtain and enter the romantic scene that looks like it could be right from a movie.

Programming rotates nightly and includes themed happy hours, DJ-led parties, karaoke nights, and elevated brunch experiences. Select evenings feature live aerialist performances, heightening the sense of spectacle and escapism.

Reservations are now available on both OpenTable and Resy. Due to the intimate space, reservations are suggested, with walk-ins as space allows plus at the bar. Newsroom Philly is available for private events and corporate functions.
