Suddenly, On January 29, 2007. Age 59. Of the Turnersville section of Washington Township. Formerly of Collingswood and Haddon Township.
Loving and caring devoted husband of Eileen M. (nee Morris). Devoted and cherished father of Teresa A. Scott and her husband of Ernie Jr. of Williamstown. Beloved son of Evelyn Plunkett (nee Wilfon) of Haddon Township. Dear Brother of Mary A. Plunkett of Haddon Township and Teresa M. Comstock and her husband Frank of Waldorf, Maryland.
Loving Brother-In-Law of Edward F. Morris and his wife Evelyn of Oaklyn. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was born in Philadelphia, PA and was raised in Collingswood and Haddon Township. He was a graduate of Haddon Township High School in 1965. John was a dedicated employee for 37 years for the Camden County Department of Public Works (CCDPW) in Lindenwold. He recently retired November 1, 2006 and was a Road Supervisor. John was an avid fisherman and loved all of the Philadelphia Sports teams.
Relatives, friends and employees of (CCDPW) are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Saturday morning from 8 am to 9:45 am at Saint Peter and Paul R.C. Church: 362 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Phone: 856-589-3366. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am in the church. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
There will be no evening viewing and no viewing at the funeral home. Family requests that memorial donations be made in John’s memory to Dominican Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary: 1500 Haddon Avenue, Camden, New Jersey 08103-3112 or Msgr.
