Catholic captures S.J. crown

The Gloucester Catholic and Gloucester high school boys bowling teams finished first and second, respectively, in Group I at the NJSIAA South Jersey Sectional Bowling Championships at Pennsauken\’s Maple Bowl on Saturday.
The top two teams in each of the four South Jersey groups advanced to the state championships, which are scheduled for Feb. 19.
Ted Hahn led Gloucester to its second-place finish in Group I by bowling the fifth-best overall series of 684 (207-210-267). His 267 was the fifth-highest single game score by any bowler in the tournament.
Deptford also advanced to states by placing second in Group II.
