Autumn Millett has had some start to her senior season at Rutgers-Camden.
On the team\’s trip to Fort Pierce, Fla., last month, you would\’ve thought the former Clearview Regional High School star was trying to earn a spot on one of the Major League Baseball teams nearby in spring training.
The senior outfielder was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week and Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Player of the Week three weeks ago after hitting .708 with 19 RBIs, 19 runs scored, four doubles and four home runs in eight games at the Florida Coast Spring Training Camp March 13 to 16.
Millett, 21, hit safely and scored a run in all eight games as Rutgers-Camden (14-8) went 8-0. She had multiple-hit games in six of the eight games.
She already has 10 home runs this season, which ties her for the Scarlet Raptors\’ single season record, and Millett is already the school\’s career statistical leader in total bases (300), runs scored (141), RBIs (129), home runs (33) and walks (72).Read more
