Bill Kirsch, age 72 former Pitman Councilman, Glassboro High graduate 1952, US Army Airborne

William was a graduate of Glassboro High School, Class of 1952. He attended Drexel University. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict.

William coached Pitman Midget Football for 13 years, was a volunteer EMT for Pitman, a member of Pitman Council for three years, the former President of Pitman Little League and a Charter Member of Williamstown Jaycees. William was on the Glassboro Planning Board for five years and was a member of the Historic Preservation Commission for two years.

He owned a surveying business for more than 37 years. He had a pilot license and his own plane and made his 23rd parachute jump on his 70th birthday. William was an avid Rams and Tigers fan and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and vacationing at his Poconos home \”Windsong.\” He especially liked to spend time with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m. at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Township. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. at St. John¹s United Methodist Church, Washington Township. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in William¹s memory to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or St. John¹s United Methodist Church, 149 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ 08012.
