I was excited about the next evening\’s hunt because the wind was perfect for me to hunt one of the best fields for hogs.
Nothing is a certainty, though. And as bad luck would have it, the wind started shifting while I was in the stand until it was blowing right out of the north. This was blowing my scent right into a big swamp and a huge game trail where the hogs come out.
It still was good for the hogs that would come out of the game trail to my right or the east. I could only hope for the best.
After several groups of hogs came out from behind me and wandered back into the swamp after smelling me, I was starting to feel a little dejected. Then out of nowhere about 12 hogs came toward me from the east swamp. read more
