Robert R. \”Bob\” Houser Sr., formerly of Gloucester City, Union Painter for Local #1331

Robert R. Houser Sr., passed away on February 1, 2008 at the age of 66. Bob lived in Bellmawr but was a longtime resident of Gloucester City. He loved Gloucester City High School football games and was an avid fan. He was a lifetime union painter for Local #1331 in Glassboro. Bob enjoyed the racetrack and casino.

Loving husband of 27 years to the late Rita \”Butch\” Rose (nee Haury). Beloved father of Rita \”Renie\” Gerber (John), Jackie Wood (Richard), Robert Houser (Jane), Walter Houser (Diana), Neal \”Shorty\” (Dawn) Houser. Loving companion of Janet Houser. Dear Brother of Frank Houser, Walter \”Conk\” Houser, John Houser, late Helen (Nonie) Mealey and the late Herb Houser. Loving grandfather of 21 and great-grandfather of 13. Beloved GodFather of Tina Houser DeFrank.

Relatives, friends and members of Local 1331 are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Catholic Religious Service 12:30 pm in the funeral home.

Interment New Saint Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. Family requests memorial donations in Bob\’s memory to the American Cancer Society: South Jersey Region: 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Please write in memo: Robert R. Houser, Sr.
