PAUL L. STEINHAGEN of Mt. Ephraim looses his fight with cancer at the age of 59, Decorated Vietnam Veteran

Funeral services were held at the Healey Funeral Home, Haddon Heights for Paul L. Steinhagen, 59, of Mt. Ephraim who passed away peacefully at home after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer on April 8, 2008.

Born in Mt. Holly and raised in Haddon Twp., Paul worked for 19 years in the shipping and receiving department at the Owens-Corning Fiberglass Company in Barrington. Paul served in the U.S. Army Aviation during the Vietnam War. Subsequently, he was a member of the VFW Post 3620 in Gloucester City and the Military Order of the Purple Heart and two combat Air Medals.

Paul is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol (nee Wise), his daughters Christine A. (Richard) Green and Tracy L. (Christopher) Bishop, his grandchildren, Rebecca, Jenna and Francis Green. Paul is the son of the late Joseph E. Steinhagen and Margaret H. (nee Gallagher). His brothers, Joseph , James, Edmund and Raymond and his sisters Nellie Scott and Margaret Faulkner.

Interment Bethal Cemetery, Pennsauken.
