Being considered were applications for Commerce Bank to open a branch at the intersection of Broadway and Cumberland Street. And allowing The Dog House, a restaurant/tavern on King Street to add an outside deck to their property.
The Board heard both pro and con comments for the Bank’s application. Representatives of the Business Community, who favored approval, also spoke. In the end the application for the bank to proceed with construction was granted by the Board. The vote was unanimous.
As for the application for The Dog House, that was tabled until a later date.
The next meeting of the Gloucester City Business Association will be Tuesday, May 27th at Caps Café, 314 Jersey Avenue.
