Funeral Services were held for Charles D. Beebe, 82, of Bellmawr, who died September 9, 2008.

Mr. Beebe proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII.

Beloved husband of Sally (nee Hall). Devoted father of Virginia Quinn, Thomas Beebe, Cynthia DiMartino (Dominic) and Jennifer Brown (Russell). Dear brother of Robert Beebe. Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment was held privately.

 Private Funeral Services and Interment were held for Vito Peter Grello, 87, of Gloucester City, who died September 14, 2008.

Mr. Grello was born in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII; received the Purple Heart; and was a member of the Gloucester City VFW Post 3620. Vito retired in 1985 from the Reliable Tire Company of Blackwood and was a member of the Teamster Local 676 of Collingswood. He was father of the late Louis.

Survived by his beloved wife Margaret; a daughter Barbara Ann Grello of Bellmawr of Bellmawr, NJ; 3 grandchildren Denise (Mark) Tumini; Lisa (Brian) McIIhenny and Nicholas DiGregorio and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home, Westville.

 A Memorial Mass was held at Saint Mary\’s Catholic Church, Gloucester City, for Jean F. Soder (nee O\’Leary), 88, of Gloucester City, who died September 16, 2008.

Jean was a loving person who dedicated her life to her family and grandchildren. She was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School where she had been an outstanding athlete while attending school there.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Loving mother of Robert J. Soder (Kathleen). She was also the dear sister of Francis O\’Leary and Margaret D\’Alessandro, devoted grandmother of Brian (Kelly), Shaun, Kristofer, Erin and great grandmother of Jacob.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, 700 Powell Street, Gloucester City NJ 08030.

Inurnment was in New Saint Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Recovering drug addicts are a \”pretty acute population\” because many neglect their medical care, according to Kenneth Stoller, medical director of addiction-treatment services at Bayview.

Beloved aunt of John and Dennis Ferri, Jim Shields, Dan McDonald, Kathy Kennedy and Bill Shinn. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Interment New St. Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Superintendent Paul Spaventa thanked the Board of Education (BOE) for their help with the Class of 2008 graduation during the September meeting.

He said he appreciated the hard work and service of the School Board members.

In other business, the BOE discussed possibly allowing the seniors at Gloucester City High School to be in charge of finance functions.

Also, members approved all field trips for the Gloucester City School District.

The School Board approved new hires, including teachers, special education teachers, secretaries, and security officers.

And, due to how old some of the textbooks are, the Board approved the purchase of new textbooks to replace them.

The Board said okay to a fundraiser for the senior class, which happens every year — selling cookies after school hours.

The next BOE meeting will be Tuesday, October 14, in the High School Media Center.

Devoted mother of Eileen Cairns and the late Christine Keith. Loving grandmother of eight, Christine Stefanski, Frankie, Gail, Gary, Jackie, Jason, and Jordan and the late Vicky. Also ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Dear sister of Alan Vadino.

That\’s why yesterday\’s 2-1 win over visiting Moorestown – in as exciting a brand of soccer as can be displayed in South Jersey – made yet another statement for the Rams.

Gloucester Catholic is 6-0 and ranked No. 2 in South Jersey by The Inquirer, and No. 7 Moorestown presented one of the biggest challenges of the season.

Actually, Gloucester Catholic would play a more ambitious schedule if it could find more nonleague teams like Moorestown.

 A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Mary\’s R.C. Church, Gloucester City, for Beatrice V. (Bea) Monroe, (nee Krebs), 81, of Gloucester City, who died September 7, 2008.

Beatrice was a 1945 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She worked many years as a telephone operator for Glenview Answering Service. Beatrice was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Mary\’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City.

Loving wife of 49 years to the late Samuel G. Monroe. Devoted mother of Maryann (John) LaGesse, Sam C. Monroe, Mary Kathryn (Chris) Donegan and the late Rosemary (surviving Joe) Staudenmeyer. Beloved grandmother of 11.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment was in New Saint Mary\’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
