GEISER, RICHARD S. \’RICH\’
On August 25, 2008 of Gloucester City, NJ, age 75, passed away with his family by his bedside.
He was the beloved husband for 46 years of Edna P. (nee Smith) and loving father of Richard Geiser and his wife Kathy and devoted grandfather of Richard Nicholas Geiser and step-grandson Ben Ledford. He is also survived by his sisters Violet Franks and Geraldine Geiser, brothers Eugene (Kathy) and Lenny (Lucille) Geiser, sisters and brothers-in-law Marge Hargesheimer, John (Lorraine) and James Smith, god-daughter Edna Brangan and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his buddy Tom Schoell, friends Emery Bittman, Helen Dolson, Judy & Bob Parson, Frank Anello and all the City Workers, Police, Firemen and Councilmen. Rich was predeceas ed by his parents Charles & Clara Geiser and brothers Fred, Robert and Louis Geiser. He was also the son-in-law of the late Charles & Catherine Smith and brother-in-law of the late George, Harry, Charlie and Walt Smith, Catherine McCormick and Lena Smith.
Rich worked for the Gloucester City Highway Dept. for 43 years and was a former part time employee at the Deptford Mall. He would work for anyone who would call, day or night and especially enjoyed working for Bill Labbree and Bill Dilks. Rich was always happy and smiling and no matter what happened; he always found a way to deal with it. He was loved by all and will never be forgotten.
He enjoyed going to the casinos, flea markets and to Rob Andrews\’ Picnic with his wife Edna.
Funeral services were under the direction of ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Interment WoodburyMemorial Park, West Deptford, NJ.
