Father Hindsley is a former resident of Brooklawn and a 1968 Graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School.

Father Hindsley was ordained on May 25,1984 at St. Dominic\’s Church in Washington, D.C.

Over the years he has served Jesus Christ and his people in many ways-chaplain of St. Mary\’s Hospital in Phila.,Pa., professor of Humanities at Providence College teaching Western Civilization, Theology, and German. Pastor of St. Mary\’s Church in New Haven, Ct, Spiritual Director for the Dominican Laity in West Springfield, MA and Providence, R.I., author of two books: Margaret Ebner: Major Works and The Mystics of Engelthal, and founder of a scholarly journal–Providence: Studies in Western Civilization.

Father Hindsley is Pastor of St. John The Baptist in Westport, Ma.

Some of Father Leonard P. Hindsley\’s Family traveled to Westport Ma., to participate in the Mass and Reception of Father Hindsly\’s 25 th Anniversary in the Priesthood.

Like many big guys, Steve was a softy at heart. But the fact remained that he was a passionately committed city firefighter, one of the most aggressive in the department.

GLOUCESTER CITY-Celebrating Tuesday night’s Democrat Primary Election results are from left , Councilman Jay Brophy, Councilman Nick Marchese, Council candidate Dan Spencer and Camden County Sheriff and Gloucester City resident Chuck Billingham.

The three local Primary candidates won a bitter fought election over their challengers \”sweeping\” the contest by a 2-1 margin.

The candidates got together after the election at the Democrat Club at Broadway and Monmouth Street. Congratulations to all!
