Staten Island’s South Shore National Little League Wins Mid-Atlantic Region; Field Set for 63rd Little League Baseball World Series

South Shore National Little League from Staten Island, N.Y., took the lead on its first at-bat of the game, with a lead-off home run from Angelo Navetta, and the combination of Vincent Quinn and James Morisano made it stand up in a 4-0 victory over Somerset Hills Little League from Bernardsville, N.J. in the Mid-Atlantic Region Championship game Monday night at Breen Field in Bristol, Conn.

Quinn and Morisano scattered six hits and Somerset Hills Little League stranded eight base runners, while South Shore National Little League collected eight hits of off pitchers Danny McDonnell, Alex Baratta and Eddie Pavlini.
