Jack was born in Philadelphia and was a resident of Gloucester City. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1990, Jack retired as equipment mechanic from PATCO. He was previously employed by Union Tank Car out of Philadelphia. Jack was a member of American Legion Stetser-Lamartine Post 281 in Gloucester Twp. and VFW Crescent Park Post 9563 in Bellmawr. He enjoyed working on cars, small engines and deep sea fishing.

The win by the 13th-ranked Blue Jays (8-2) marked the first time they had defeated eighth-ranked TCNJ (6-2) after the Lions claimed wins in the first 11 meetings between the two institutions.

In the second overtime, Branchini was awarded a penalty stroke in the closing minutes and shot high on Lion keeper Shannon Syciarz (Garwood, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson). Syciarz got a piece of the shot, but the ball had enough momentum to carry it just under the cross bar for the deciding goal.
In the opening half, the Lions jumped out in front quick as freshman Emilie Taylor Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) scored 1:40 into the game. That goal came on an assist from junior Kellyn Riley (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West).

Thirty anglers received awards for prize-winning fish, but the grand prize went to Gene Brendel of Nutley, NJ, for catching a 32-inch striped bass. Mr. Brendel received a plaque along with two rod and reel combos, and will have his name engraved on the Governor\’s Cup, which is permanently displayed at the park.
