Dowling Lifts Bentley University Past Holy Family University Men’s Basketball, 91-65

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Guard Tom Dowling scored a team-high 23 points to lead Bentley University to a 91-65 win over the Holy Family University men’s basketball team on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.
Bentley, ranked ninth in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, improves to 3-0 overall. Holy Family is now 0-2.
Dowling connected on 10 of 11 shots on his way to his team-high scoring effort. He added five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Guard Jason Westrol recorded 19 points, six assists, five rebounds and five steals. Forward Brian Tracey added 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Forward Kevin Kettl just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds in a reserve effort.
For Holy Family, forward Justin Swidowski (so. Cinnaminson, N.J./Holy Cross) recorded his second consecutive double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, both game-high. He also tied his personal best with six blocked shots. Guard Kahlil Mumford (so. Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) contributed 16 points, six assists and three steals.
