On behalf of the Yellow Ribbon Club, I want to thank our community for making our first of two cookie drives for the troops, a huge success. It was totally overwhelming to see the amount of homemade cookies that were dropped off to us this past Saturday. Anyone can see by the outpouring of support for this event that we live in a very patriotic community.
First, let me say, to all of you who baked thank you. Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan do have cookies, but not homemade ones. They are truly going to enjoy them as it’s been very popular in the past. To Marlton United Methodist Church who provided the room as a cookie drop off spot for the day, thank you. Once again you have opened your doors to help us show support to our troops.
To Marlton Super Fresh, who supplied the boxes to package all of the cookies, thank you. For all of the groups and organizations who came out with cookies in hand, thank you. Even to our newspapers and news camera who came out to do a nice story on our community and our troops overseas, thank you.
