Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire that claimed six firefighters.
Crews searched and sifted through charred debris for nine days before finding the remains of all six heroes.
The tragedy triggered a tighter bond as about 30,000 firefighters from around the country poured into Worcester to honor the fallen brothers.
To honor the memory of Paul A. Brotherton, Jeremiah M. Lucey, Joseph T. McGuirk, Timothy P. Jackson Sr., Thomas E. Spencer and James F. \’Jay\’ Lyons III, the Worcester Fire Department took to the road to share lessons to prevent a similar tragedy.
