LETTERS: A GOOD START TO THE NEW YEAR

Those of us that understand how conservation is Mother Nature\’s prescription for healthy ecosystems, and how fishing and hunting are humankind\’s participation in this remedy, will appreciate the below editorial published by the Herald News.

It appears that even the \”press\” is beginning to understand that Mother Nature does not attempt to \”preserve\” living things and that humankind remains a link in the environmental chain of dependence, in spite of technological advancements.

Although we have a ways to go in educating our modern day culture about the workings of conservation this article is a good effort and a wonderful start to the new year.
