Fabulous Feet Dance in National Cherry Blossom Parade

Members of the Fabulous Feet Dance Company , of Bellmawr NJ, performed in this year’s National Cherry Blossom parade held Saturday, April 10th in Washington, DC. The girls are members of the National All-star tap team. This team has performed in the IKEA Thanksgiving Day parade in Philadelphia & the Southwest National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington DC for the past 4 years.

The dancers, who reside in Gloucester City and Bellmawr, are: Isabella Britton, Kerrigan Jackson, Austyn Laboube, Dana Robinson, Alexis Robinson, Ilse-Marie Cook, Melissa Morgan, Kimberly Bowers, Chelsea Holwell, Azeria Shields, Maria Stopper, Nicole Morsillo, Kennedy Brown, Jordyn Finegan, Emilee Hoyte, Tara Robinson, Nicole Thomas.

Please come out to Honor Lt. Col. Al Bancroft. The Yellow Ribbon Club, Warrior Watch Riders, American Legion and all other military support groups are getting together to say THANK YOU and WELCOME HOME to Al Bancroft. As most of you know, Al has served over 50 years for the United States Marine Corps. He served 3 tours in Vietnam. He is a true Maverick. He started off enlisted and worked his way up to Lt. Col.

Lt. Col. Bancroft supports all of us and our work. Regardless of how he may have been treated during the time he served; he comes out to welcome home our current troops. He has told us from time to time that this work has helped him heal.

We would like to honor him for his longevity of service in our Welcome Home style. He will be surprised by a convoy of bikes and police who will unexpectedly pull up on his street and make noise. He will then be escorted Rock Star style to the Cherry Hill American Legion for light snacks and small tokens or appreciation from various groups. Now is the time to show our appreciation for one of our older veterans who truly has Patriotism flowing through his blood. The NorthWind is Back!

GLOUCESTER CITY-Spring is here and the NorthWind is back in the water. She returned to Freedom pier on Sunday April 11th.

\"SumNrthWater\" The Schooner had the bottom sandblasted down to bare metal and received for coats of epoxy and bottom paint.Paint was donated by Sherwin-Williams and was applied by volunteers. The Schooner at Summit North Marina in Bear, DE. (CLICK TO ENLARGE)

Every five years the US Coast Guard requires a hull inspection while out of the water. Our inspection was done at this time and will not need to be inspected again out of the water until 2015. We have an in water inspection annually.

School trips are scheduled for this Spring along with other events which will be posted on the web site (www.schoonergloucesternj.com) and in Gloucester City News.\"SumNrthPull\"

The Schooner was lift loaded from dry dock to the water.
